Anthony Bongiovanni, Beverly Geiger, Lisa Nemeth Cavanagh, Mike Mespelli, Ray Scardelli, Sotiris Sergiou, and Avery Quayle of Micro Strategies share their business agility transformation journey.
As founder and CEO of Micro Strategies, Anthony is responsible for guiding Micro Strategies’ Sales, Marketing, Business Development and Practice Groups. Anthony launched Micro Strategies from the ground up thirty years ago from a two-person company in a small office to a multi-million dollar organization with over 100 employees and three locations in the Northeast. Anthony continues to be at the helm on a daily basis and sets the strategy for future growth, expansion and profitability.
Anthony is extremely proud that Micro Strategies was awarded the IBM Choice Award for Top Business Partner in North America this year. This award is IBM’s top award and recognizes significant accomplishments and a balanced performance in the areas of Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, Cloud, Financing and Services.
Beverly Geiger serves as Vice President Sales for the New York Metro region at Micro Strategies, where she oversees regional sales strategy and go to market offerings. In this role, she is dedicated to client success driven by innovative technology solutions.
Prior to joining the team at Micro Strategies, Beverly held numerous roles at IBM, including Director of Software Sales for the New York area. Beverly’s extensive experience in the technology sector along with her roles in leadership enables her to serve as a client resource and advocate, driving business growth.
Beverly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Computers from Hofstra University.
Lisa Cavanagh, Practice Executive at Micro Strategies, is responsible for leading the analytics, security, hybrid IT, managed services and business process & content services practices. In this role, she partners with the individual practice leaders to design and deliver solutions that address critical business needs, allowing customers to achieve their organizational objectives.
Prior to joining Micro Strategies, Lisa worked at Bed Bath and Beyond for over two decades where she served in several technology roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as the Vice President, Customer Experience and Marketing Technology Platforms.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). She has CQ Certification from Change Catalysts and has completed course work for Real World Risk through Real World Risk Institute.
Michael Mespelli is the Vice President of Sales & Services at Micro Strategies. In this dual role, he is responsible for sales and business development in New England and the delivery of services pertaining to Micro Strategies’ hybrid IT, managed services and security practices.
He joined Micro Strategies in 2017 bringing over 20 years’ experience as a senior sales executive and a professional services provider. Prior to joining Micro Strategies, Michael held sales management and professional services positions with IBM and a New England-based technology and services provider.
As the Vice President of Sales for the Mid-Atlantic and Potomac region, Ray brings over three decades of technology sales leadership to Micro Strategies. He is responsible for all aspects of revenue generation for the region including setting sales strategy and leading the field sales organization in the territory. In addition, he supports cross-regional sales and operations and corporate initiatives such as vendor management and alliances.
Before joining Micro Strategies, Ray spent 29 years as a client executive for IBM. During his tenure with IBM, he was the client executive for one of IBM’s largest resellers and he ran the Americas storage channel organization where he was responsible for total sales of that brand through the solution provider partner community. He also held a number of other management, sales and technical roles in the northeastern region.
Ray holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Kean University.
As the Vice President of Sales for New Jersey and New York Metro enterprise clients, Sotiris Sergiou is responsible for leading enterprise sales across the organization, focusing on optimal solutions for clients to successfully deliver business value and outcomes.
Sotiris joined Micro Strategies in 2010, where he subsequently oversaw the opening of the company’s Pennsylvania office and drove the company’s successful expansion into the mid-Atlantic region.
Prior to joining Micro Strategies, Sotiris spent over a decade in technology sales to Fortune 500 companies at IBM as a Senior Sales Specialist.
Sotiris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry & Business Administration from Kingston University.
Avery Quayle is the senior marketing director for Micro Strategies. In this role, she acts as the primary oversight and architect of the company’s brand strategy, communication programs, and lead generation campaigns.
Prior to joining Micro Strategies in 2018, Avery spent more than 15 years working with small to enterprise-sized technology and professional services businesses, helping them develop and implement marketing programs that established brand identity, grew market awareness and facilitated business growth.
She has a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Art degree in English/Writing and Sociology.
